Great zhi char at excellent prices! Many old school dishes you wont find elsewhere. we loved their steamed pork belly with salted fish and their sambal sweet potato leaves. however have to warn the place looks a bit rundown, as it hasn't been renovated significantly in decades. definitely for those looking for the taste of the good old days

Reach there 12:30pm. First time try the food. We order the stingray fish steam with salted vege, pork steam with ginger & tofu fried paku chai. Have its own special taste. Not very heavy taste or not salty. Nice

I like the food. A little pricey though. The ray fish was very fresh. The curry was thick with all the spices. We had bean curd which is their specialty. On the greasy side. The vibe was filled with the olden days where natural ventilation and cement screed floor were standard features. Almost forgot the bamboo blinds. Lunch time is packed to the brim.

Here before when I was a kid, old kopitiam feel. Food was delicious! Curry was yummy but too oily.

I was born and raised in BM, and this is the restaurant my family and I always go to whenever we're not sure what to eat. These are our must-order dishes whenever we're here: 1. Teochew-style steamed fish 2. Tofu with chives 3. Stir-fried kailan Though there's sometimes a wait, it’s usually not too long, and the prices are reasonable. Last orders are at 8pm, but you can still finish your dinner afterward.

One of the best local taste restaurants in Bukit Mertajam. All dishes served are up to standard and the cooking ingredients are fresh. Crowded and it took some time to wait for the queue.
